In line for the throne
There’s a little controversy going on in our little country concerning a possible double nationality (English and Dutch) of our queen. This has all to do with the fact that there was a controversy over a year ago about the double nationality of 2 Dutch politicians (Turkish, Moroccan and Dutch). No matter what the outcome of this is, one fact does remain: Queen Beatrix is the 942nd in line for the English throne. That means that a lot of people will have to die or decline for her to seize power of the United Kingdom.
This got me thinking though: wouldn’t it be fun to know when your turn would come to reign supreme over a country? As a Dutch citizen, I should be entitled to at least a shot at being king ofthe Netherlands! Even if it means you’re maybe the 14.678.432nd in line.
