Over the last couple of months there have been some videos going around of people experimenting with the effects of dropping a couple (or in some occasions a lot) of Mentos into bottles of Diet Coke. Let’s just say that the effects have been bursting.
There a people however who have gone a bit beyond that sort of normal experimenting and became more creative with the effects. Like these guys who made a whole Mentos + Diet Coke ballet (Quicktime required).

One of the funniest things in the movie Shrek was the Magic Mirror who, among other things, was the one who introduced the beauties to prince Farquaad (voiced brilliantly by John Lithgow). And although there’s no magic involved, you can now have your own magic mirror.
Themeaddicts Inc. has introduced the Magic Message Mirror which you can script to say things like “Your jacuzzi is now up to temperature”. And if not mistaken, the mirror (as you can gather by the clips and voice samples you can find on the site) is voiced by Tony Jay, who voiced numerous movies, cartoons and videogames.

As a kid I played Space Invaders for hours and hours on my little game console. Now a French group of people (with probably a whole lot of time on their hand) have made a human stop motion version of the game.

People seem to love to talk on their mobile phones. And although I’m as much a mobile gadget freak as the next guy, weighing my options when it’s that time again to get the latest mobile phone, the way people use their mobile phones rubs me the wrong way sometimes. Not that long ago back I posted about those mobile disturbances and how I felt about them.
The answer to that problem has arrived. Dan Briody used his column in Infoworld to give the world the Ten Commandments of Cell Phone Etiquette.
So maybe they’re not etched in stone like the original ones, but still, these are good rules to live by.
